Naturally Fresh, Inc. announced Florida expansion plans. The Atlanta-based manufacturer of Naturally Fresh® Dressings, Sauces purchased a 10 acre site for a distribution center in Sanford, FL, north of Orlando.

“We hear talk of tough economic times, but we see a bright future for our company in Florida,” said Naturally Fresh President and Chief Operating Officer Jerry Greene. Construction is expected to be under way by this summer with completion expected by June, 2009.

The facility will be located near the Orlando Sanford International Airport. A Florida company, McKee Construction of Sanford will build the distribution center.

Currently, Naturally Fresh operates 24 branch distribution centers across the United States including facilities in Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale. The company’s other branches are in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Washington and Colorado.

A privately held company, Naturally Fresh has been in operation since 1966. The company’s Naturally Fresh® line of dressings, sauces and dips can be found in supermarkets and restaurants. Naturally Fresh products are also sold through food service distributors and grocery wholesalers.
